Dave the Author

Ok - as can be seen below, Dave is more than qualified to write technical papers on railway engineering, but what qualifies him as an author of fiction?

There are two answers to this question:

Firstly, for his first novel (For Nil Consideration) Dave had first hand experience with the issues the book is based on and was, therefore, in a unique position to take the trials and tribulations endured by the Evans family and turn their story into a gripping family drama.

Secondly, imagination! Pure and simple. Dave has an incredible imagination with endless ideas, which are all starting to finally find themselves on paper. From the horrors of Dave's debut book (For Nil Consideration) he has expanded upon the location and characters in forthcoming additions to the Sheraton Moss Estate novels.

Dave has a wide range of interests and his influences are equally as diverse; ranging from Bill Bryson to Robert Rankin, from drama to horror and fantasy. This is illustrated in other projects Dave is working on - including the recording of work carried out by an, as yet, unknown parapsychologist... Dr Iain Ropner.
